Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CV Genius. By submitting an order and paying for a service you agree to them, to the Refund and Revision Policy and to the Privacy Policy. No account is required to order; your reference number and private tracking link are your access.

1. Services and pricing

  • CV Genius offers five service families: CV Packages (including returning-client updates), Career Branding, Job Search Support, Digital Career Services and Creative Portfolios. The current services and prices are listed on the pricing page.
  • All prices are set in Barbados dollars (BBD). Amounts shown in other currencies are estimates at the published rate. The price recorded at the time you submit your order is the price of that order.
  • Every CV package includes one matching cover letter, one target field or vacancy, review of one supplied job description where relevant, reference formatting where needed, PDF and editable files, human review and 30-day accuracy corrections.
  • “Help me choose” is a recommendation request. Nothing is payable until CV Genius has recommended a service and you accept it.

2. Payment and when work begins

  • Payment is by the manual transfer methods listed at the time of ordering. Cash is not accepted. CV Genius verifies each payment against your reference before confirming it.
  • The amount you pay is the BBD total, or for a USD method the USD equivalent shown on the payment instructions page.
  • Work begins once payment is verified, all required information has been received and the scope has been accepted. Turnaround estimates are business-day estimates from that point.

3. Rush requests

48-hour Priority and 24-hour Emergency delivery are capacity requests. They are not payable and not promised until CV Genius has explicitly approved them. The stated clock begins only after approval, verified payment and complete information. The two tiers cannot be combined. If CV Genius misses an accepted rush deadline for its own reasons, the rush surcharge is refunded. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.

4. Revisions and accuracy support

  • One revision round is one consolidated set of in-scope changes. Included rounds: 1 (Student Special, CV Refresh, Essential / New CV), 2 (Application Ready, Professional Career, Complete Career Kit), 3 (Executive Career Pack). Non-CV services include one consolidated correction round.
  • Included rounds must be requested within 7 calendar days of delivery. Errors caused by CV Genius are corrected for 30 days after delivery.
  • A new target role, new document, change of service or complete restart is new work at the published price.

5. Your information must be accurate

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us about your work, education, qualifications, achievements, references and contact details. CV Genius does not fabricate employers, dates, roles, qualifications or achievements, and will contact you rather than invent or “verify” facts it cannot support.

6. No guarantee of outcomes

CV Genius produces documents, research and pages. It does not guarantee interviews, job offers, promotions, admissions, visas or any other outcome, and does not submit job applications on your behalf. Research deliverables record the date they were checked; information is accurate as of that date, and no vacancy, contact or interview is guaranteed.

7. Hosted pages (Digital Career Services, portfolio pages and the card inside Complete Career Kit)

  • Nothing is published until you approve it. Public pages contain only the information you approve; your intake remains private.
  • Hosting is included for 12 months from publication. Before that period ends we will tell you the then-published renewal rate; renewal happens only if you accept it. There is no automatic billing and no lifetime promise.
  • If you do not renew, the page is unpublished after notice. You keep the delivered files.

8. What CV Genius does not do

  • No live coaching, mock interviews, consultations or calls — written interview preparation only.
  • No fabrication, no guaranteed outcomes, no submitting applications for you.
  • No account is required; keep your reference number and tracking link safe.

9. Refunds and cancellation

See the Refund and Revision Policy. In short: full refund of the unperformed service before work starts; a fair refund of the unperformed portion afterwards; a remedy or refund where CV Genius falls short; duplicate payments refunded. Your statutory consumer rights are preserved.
