This policy explains, in plain language, how CV Genius handles the personal information and documents you share when placing an order. It covers the website, the order form, tracking, delivery and any hosted page we build for you.
What we collect
- Contact details: name, email, optional WhatsApp or phone number, country or region.
- Order content: what you tell us about your career, education, skills, targets and — for returning clients — your previous reference.
- Files you upload: current CVs, cover letters, job descriptions, certificates, portfolios, images and voice notes.
- Payment proof: the screenshot or reference you upload so we can match your transfer. We never ask for banking passwords, card PINs or security codes.
- Basic technical information needed to run the site securely (for example, request logs).
Why we use it
Only to prepare and deliver what you ordered, to handle revisions and corrections, to verify payment, to send order-related messages, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your information and do not use it to market unrelated products.
Who helps us (service providers and AI assistance)
- Your files and order data are stored with a managed cloud database and file-storage provider. Downloads use short-lived private links.
- Transactional emails are sent through an email delivery provider.
- CV Genius staff may use AI-assisted drafting and analysis tools internally to work faster on your order. Every document is reviewed and finalised by a person before delivery, and nothing is invented. These tools are service providers processing data on our behalf; we cannot promise absolute confidentiality against a provider's own systems, so please do not upload material you are not comfortable sharing with such providers.
Public pages versus private intake
Digital Career Cards, QR Resume Landing Pages and portfolio pages are public once published. They contain only the information you approve, and nothing is published until you approve it. Your order form, uploads and messages remain private. Protected CV downloads on a public page are shared only through the controls you approve.
Messages we send
Order confirmation, payment confirmation, recommendation or rush decisions, delivery notices and reminders relating to your order — by email and, if you gave a number, by WhatsApp. These are not marketing messages.
How long we keep things
We keep order information and delivered files for as long as needed to support revisions, corrections and future updates you may request, and to meet legal, accounting and fraud-prevention needs. Deletion is handled manually on request rather than by an automatic schedule.
Your choices: access, correction, deletion
Email cvgenius.bb@gmail.com with your reference number to request a copy of your data, correct it, have a hosted page unpublished, or have your intake information and uploaded files deleted. Some records may be retained where the law requires it; we will tell you if so.
