Refund & Revision Policy

This policy is written to be fair and to respect your rights as a consumer. Nothing here reduces any right you have under the law of Barbados or your own country. CV Genius does not operate a blanket “no refunds” rule.

1. Cancelling before work starts

You may cancel at any time before work on your order has actually started by emailing cvgenius.bb@gmail.com with your reference number. The full amount paid for the unperformed service is refunded. Where a payment provider has charged a transaction fee that it does not return to us, we will tell you the actual amount and the basis for it before any deduction; we never deduct fees automatically or without a disclosed, lawful basis.

2. When work has started

Work has started when a CV Genius writer has begun reviewing your material and drafting, researching or designing for your order — not merely because payment was received or the order was scheduled. If you cancel after work has started, you receive a fair refund for the portion of the service not yet performed, and you keep anything already delivered.

3. If CV Genius falls short

  • If we fail to deliver what was agreed, you are entitled to a remedy (correction or completion) or a refund for the affected part of the service.
  • If we miss an approved rush deadline for reasons within our control, the rush surcharge is refunded in full and the order continues at the standard turnaround.
  • Factual or formatting errors caused by CV Genius are corrected free of charge for 30 days after delivery.

4. Duplicate or failed payments

Duplicate payments are refunded in full once identified. If a payment fails or cannot be matched to an order, nothing is charged and no work starts; contact us with your reference so we can help.

5. Rush requests

48-hour Priority and 24-hour Emergency are capacity requests. They are never payable until CV Genius has explicitly approved them, and the clock starts only after approval, verified payment and complete information. If we decline the request you pay the standard total only. The two tiers cannot be combined.

6. Revision rounds

  • One revision round is one consolidated set of in-scope changes sent together.
  • Included rounds by package: Student Special, CV Refresh and Essential / New CV — 1; Application Ready, Professional Career and Complete Career Kit — 2; Executive Career Pack — 3. Extra rounds are BBD $50 each.
  • Non-CV services (career branding, job search support, digital career pages, creative portfolios, returning-client updates) include one consolidated correction round on the same terms.
  • Included rounds must be requested within 7 calendar days of delivery.
  • In scope: wording, structure, emphasis and formatting within the agreed target and documents. Out of scope: a new target role, a new document, a change of service, or a complete restart — these are new orders at the published price.

7. Accuracy support

For 30 days after delivery we correct factual or formatting errors we caused. Accuracy support is about the correctness of the document, not about outcomes (interviews, offers) and not about changing what you asked for.

8. Hosted pages

Hosted products include 12 months from publication. If you choose not to renew, the page is unpublished after notice; you keep the delivered files. See the Terms of Service for the full hosting terms.

9. How to make a request

Email cvgenius.bb@gmail.com or WhatsApp +1 (246) 831-0110 with your reference number. Refunds go back to the original payment method where possible. We aim to respond within two business days.
